Ambient vs cold chain delivery

Fermentation existed long before refrigerators, and our living ferments are naturally resilient. They can handle the journey at ambient temperatures, just as traditional ferments did for centuries. Simply pop them in the fridge once they arrive to keep them fresh and thriving!

Fermented Vegetables or old salad

We use traditional wild fermentation, long and slow, to enhance flavor, boost beneficial bacteria, and increase nutrient availability. This process also creates organic acids that naturally preserve the ferment, leaving you with a safe, delicious, and probiotic-rich product.

Organic vs local

At Whole Food Family, we value a deep connection with the land and the farmers who nurture it. We source from passionate local growers who use organic practices, even if not always certified, to create our small-batch, seasonal ferments. However, the beetroots for our Kvass are always 100% certified organic.

Why even eat fermented foods
